After almost fifty years in animation I realised that this form of animating with so many "coordinates" is rubbish. Forces one to draw in a formulaic way. It is better to draw freely with plastic finesse and animate by "metamorphosis" rather than trying to displace shapes in space. Computers can do it better. Break free, man!

Yes of course Oscar you can draw free if you handle well the rules...i think do you follow rules in yours early years...that's are fundamentals..I'm free when animate, that's are my emotional part working over...but i'm conscious to have study rules of anatomy and animation...
I begin from the 12 rules of animation cause are the bases...i hope to helping someone would enter in this world...
You are a big animator Oscar..i think do you know this rules :-) so you can't follow cause when you working do you put automatically in your animation...but you follow (maybe incosciounsly)....
